David is a project manager with 29 years of experience in the information technology field. His first postion was programming in COBOL on an IBM 360 mainframe. In those days he even had to punch his own card decks. Over the years he progressed to minicomputers (Wang, DEC, and Honeywell) and finally to PCs. He has experience programming in COBOL, BASIC, FORTRAN, Pascal, Visual Basic (including VBA and VB Script), and a little bit of C. In the networking area, David has worked on both Netware and Windows Server from NT4 to 2003.
David is an unabashed technogeek. He is rarely far from a computer, PDA, or some device that keeps him connected to the Internet. His prime area of interest these days is Microsoft Outlook. He is a two time (2007 – 2008) Microsoft Outlook Most Valuable Professional (MVP). David is also very active at Experts-Exchange in the Outlook zone where he goes by the screen name BlueDevilFan. Yes, David is a dedicated Duke University basketball fan. Not to worry though, he has friends who are Tar Heel, Terrapin, and Wildcat fans.
